Description

Any announcements/guidelines regarding breaking changes (for instance changes to language or runtime support) for README.md will go into into README_NEXT.md. They will remain there until we're ready to merge next into main and release 2.0. Before releasing 2.0 we have ensure that all of these announcements/guidelines are properly merged with the README.md from main.

This issue is considered done when:

  • the changed sections from README_NEXT.md were merged into README.md
  • README_NEXT.md was deleted
