Some comments I've gathered from the community survey on the challenges section:

I’m concerned that filter functionality around dashboard and about page routing and context won’t be fully replaced as Open edX moves to MFEs (openedx/platform-roadmap#217 (comment)). It would be nice to be able to use a filter to alter API responses or instruct an MFE to redirect the user to a totally different location.
