'figure align left' makes wrapfigure in latex. I don't want to use wrapfigure. How to do this?

I want to use figure align left without wrapfigure.
How to do this?

The followings are detail description about my situation.

The markdown block in the jupyterbook:

```{figure} figure/picturename.png
:scale: 18%
:align: left
```

The corresponding code in the produced latex:

\begin{wrapfigure}{l}{0pt}
\centering
\noindent\sphinxincludegraphics[scale=0.18]{{picturename}.png}
\end{wrapfigure}

I don't want to apply wrapfigure :(
