Looking for new maintainer

Hello, first of all, thank you everyone for your support. I am looking for a new maintainer of this extension. It has been a lot of fun, lots of learning, issues of course will not go away but priorities change and life goes on.

I am still planning to push the changes for GNOME 45 ESM hopefully before the end of the month. I will be checking the list for major bugs and try to fix them for the next few months. Maybe for another 3 to 4 months tops.

For anyone who likes to step up, you can find me on the GNOME Matrix room. I will set you up on the process.

Otherwise, the repository will be archived by end of January 2024

Hi @dawuddev - yes, still looking. I got some interested folks reach over on Matrix but I had not decided who will be maintaining it next.

@jmmaranan I want you to know this project is why I love Linux. It improves my user experience considerably, without forcing me to give up the modern desktop environment (like I would have to if I were to use way, for example. Thank you for all the work you put into it.

Okay so I was looking to help out and created a matrix account.

Are either of these rooms correct for this extension?

@jmmaranan has a maintainer been selected? If so, can you please state who they are so I can begin communication with them?

Nobody right now and probably not a single person. The maintenance looks like will be in separate pieces.

• New development (or pick an Enhancement ticket) (this needs extensions development experience. Hard requirement.)
• Reviewing and merging. (same as the first one)
• Testing (same with the first one)
• Packaging and uploading to EGO. (does not need extensions dev experience). Maybe someone can do a pipeline for this.
• Hand down feedback from EGO if it is rejected.
