Dropdown & List not recognizing arrow keys

I'm using primeng 17.14.1. All of my components that contain any type of list such as a dropdown, list box, mult-select, etc are not working when trying to use the arrow keys to navigate the list. What's happening is when you say open a dropdown and then use the arrow keys to move up and down on the items in the list the dropdowns main component gets highlighted and then we don't see the highlight move up or down the list. It is moving up and down the list but we don't see it. Here's an example of a dropdown with this issue:
