Note: There was a previous open-source replica of the SRS cloud server (#2856). It mainly provides a ready-to-use cloud server, which is generally not used for compiling and modifying code. At most, you can modify the configuration and it requires a good management backend.
Due to the large size of the audio and video code, WebRTC has a codebase of GB level (including dependencies), FFmpeg is also hundreds of MB (including dependencies), and SRS is also hundreds of MB. Even if they are downloaded from Gitee, it takes a long time, and it is still a shared network. Some dependencies are not available for direct download, and the code is located overseas, which may result in timeouts or inability to access.
Someone has provided feedback that the download speed of OBS is too slow. They suggested to include the installation package here.
So I plan to provide a cloud virtual machine with a development environment for WebRTC/FFmpeg/SRS. It will include all the necessary libraries and tools, and will be regularly updated. The related dependency management will be placed in an open-source repository, which everyone can contribute to maintaining together.
If anyone is interested, please leave a message. If there is enough demand, I will spend time on it. If no one is interested, then forget about it.
