My developer mind says this is simply not possible, but both @olizilla and I have experienced full screen flashing (the whole screen, not just the browser) whilst leaving peerpad running in Chrome without refreshing the page on macOS. This only happens after say 5-10 mins after the page is loaded.

Is anyone else seeing this? Am I going completely mad? Could someone start peerpad, create a new document and leave the tab open in Chrome to see if this effects them also?

I'm getting this a lot today.

Other symptoms include,

  • Firefox chewing out all my system resources if peerpad left open
  • Chrome tab with peerpad in crashes if left idling in the background for a while.

Will try and get some more specific details. This is more a note pad for the strange behaviour at the moment.

Seeing the same in Firefox on Ubuntu and Chromium on same platform. I suspect this is a js-ipfs issue and not peerpad as I've seen it happen in other apps. After 10-15 minutes of leaving peerpad in the background, the tab is crashed. See ipfs/js-ipfs#950 as well

@victorbjelkholm I'm kinda glad it's not just us seeing it. I thought my mind might be going.
