Would there be much work involved in porting Orion to Linux?

Linux on tablets?

Orion is good enough to be useful on a Desktop computer. It has features that
aren't available with Okular and Evince (the two main pdf viewers on Linux).

And yes, Linux on tablets is coming soon (a developer preview is already
available). See:

In worst case it would be necessary to rewrite all UI and controls, pdf/djvu
rendering parts will be same. But seems that it should be possible to run
android applications on Desktop cause Linux and Android have same kernel maybe
some Linux distros will be support android applications out of box. I found
IcedRobot and Alien Dalvik doing smth similar.
What features of Orion doesn't avaliable in Ocular and Evince?

Traversal patterns, custom cropping, rotation, built-in file manager, external
dictionary support, day/night mode... and also the fact that Orion is made to
run on tablets, so when Linux tablets become available in 2014 it would be
great to have the touchscreen features that are understandably absent in Okular
and Evince.
