What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Changing page on any OCR pdf

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

nook simple touch (1.21), android 2.1
orion_viewer_0.43.3_armeabi_v5.apk

Please provide any additional information below.

Very slow (around 7-15 sec) turning page on any OCR pdf. Without OCR
orion-viewer turns pages very fast.

Update: slow response time on particular PDF files (maybe specific language
issue?).
Attached one of problematic pdf files.

I downloaded orion_viewer_0.39.1_armeabi_v5, and looks like the same problem
was before.

Yay, pdf->pdf fixed problem and now really pleasure to read!
But I have hundred such problematic pdf files - any way to fix it without third
party software?

I think that it much faster to regenerate book on computer than on any android
device. Maybe some batch script could convert all your books)

Probably PDFs are prone to being slow to load, because there's an image of each
page on top of the (invisible) text. Solution is to put text over image (web
convertor is slow and gives timeout error frequently)

If you want to investigate this issue you can check format in which encoded
each image in original and converted pdf's. And also image size (Mb) and
dimension(width and height).

I will do, anyway is possible to request some loading page progress animation?
sometimes you do not know if is white (empty) page or just loading (white) page.

Maybe in future, but now i'm moving to support only android 2.2+, so for old
devices i will fix only critical and perfomance issues. Or if Android 2.2 or if
only it's bitmap part will be ported to NST new version would work on it.

There are rumours that new NST also based on andoid 2.1 (not 2.3). Whatever,
without SD card slot on new NST it is impossible to root it at all. Sorry for
offtopic.

What do you mean is it possible to run android 2.2 application on rooted nst?
