Thanks for this great driver.

I have major problems getting the trackball to work in Retropie -- I did manage to get it working with Xarcade2Jstick + lr-mame2013 if I used the retroarch configuration app to bind a mouse event to player 1, so that was an issue solved there.

BUT, big issue I'm running into: I need to run mame4all to run games like Star Wars (the vector arcade game) which doesn't run in lr-mame2013.

IF I uninstall Xarcade2Jstick, under mame4all in Retropie, I can get games like Centipede, Missile Command, Star Wars, Star Trek to ALL recognize the trackball as well as a spinner and a wireless keyboard/mouse combo (ALL 3 mice-like inputs work at the same time and NO new configuration was done!). But once I install XarcadetoJstick, ALL of these mice inputs stop working in mame4all.

I really would love to keep the Xarcade2Jstick functionality but don't want to lose this mouse support in mame4all -- any suggestions?

Many people have reported that Xarcade2Jstick causes the trackball not to work on the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+. If you have a newer Tri-Mode PCB in your controller then you should not install Xarcade2Jstick anyhow, just use mode 4 (Xinput gamepad mode).

As a side, we've also noticed that the trackball doesn't work when in mode 3 (DirectInput mode) for some reason, perhaps the devs disable trackball use when a Dinput controller is attached?
