Trackball not working with new April 2019 tankstick

I used an older xarcade tankstick dual controller with trackball and the older version of xarcade2jstick and everything worked on retropie no problems. Purchased new tankstick with new board in it with exact same pi image, downloaded updated xarcade2joystick and everything works accept the trackball doesn’t work on any games no matter what emulator I try.

Many people have reported that Xarcade2Jstick causes the trackball not to work on the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+. If you have a newer Tri-Mode PCB in your controller then you should not install Xarcade2Jstick anyhow, just use mode 4 (Xinput gamepad mode).

As a side, we've also noticed that the trackball doesn't work when in mode 3 (DirectInput mode) for some reason, perhaps the devs disable trackball use when a Dinput controller is attached?
