Basically it takes 3 hours to build and then fails at the final stage, due to cmake issues. Some versions built successfully previously but don't with a newer cmake. So we need to figure out which version of cmake we should pin to, and build with that.

Maybe the newer ones work better? I did not have issues compile the latest version on bookworm (py 3.11), although it might not be complete (didn't check if I had all libraries installed)
