Objective

Investigate and analyze the potential implementation of delegated staking user flows in V1, documenting the user flow and recommending whether it should be introduced.

Goals

• Analyze the benefits and drawbacks of introducing delegated staking in the Pocket protocol
• Research how delegated staking is implemented in other blockchain networks
• Propose a user flow for delegated staking

Deliverable

• A research document that:
  • Analyzes the pros and cons of introducing delegated staking in Pocket Network
  • Provides an overview of delegated staking implementations in other blockchain networks
  • Makes a recommendation on whether delegated staking should be introduced in Pocket Network
  • If recommended, presents a proposed user flow for delegated staking

Non-goals / Non-deliverables

• Implementing the delegated staking feature in the codebase
• Providing detailed technical specifications for the delegated staking implementation

General issue deliverables

• Update the appropriate CHANGELOG
• Update any relevant READMEs (local and/or global)
• Update any relevant global documentation & references
• If applicable, update the source code tree explanation
• If applicable, add or update a state, sequence or flowchart diagram using mermaid

Testing Methodology

• All tests: make test_all
• LocalNet: verify a LocalNet is still functioning correctly by following the instructions at docs/development/README.md
