Very not cool to be greeted by an ad when I launch my editor because I installed a plugin to get syntax highlighting. This kind of breach of trust is likely to make me never consider using these services.

+1 – I could accept it once (still not cool), but I’m not a big fan of seeing it every time I open my editor.

I'm really not a fan of advertisements appearing routinely in all my VS Code installations for an extension I use once a blue moon; I've uninstalled Prisma and left a review as part of my hatred for advertisements.

Just know, I wouldn't have cared much if there was a "Disable forever" button, but you decided not to leave me that option, hm.

You can easily leave a review (after signing in with your Microsoft account) right here:

We heard your feedback, here is the PR that will remove the promotion for next release: #1745

(@Xevion The promotion was actually built in a way that it only shows once, so not interacting or clicking x effectively works as "Disable this promotion forever" - but we now realize that this was not clear at all. Sorry.)

@janpio janpio self-assigned this May 28, 2024
