Version
Please provide the versions of the pulp_installer, pulpcore and plugin packages in use.

Checking the testing document, seems more based on NFS.

May I confirm whether support with CIFS?

Due to a lot of not support or permission issues(SELinux) during the installation with Ansible. But fine with NFS.

Hi @reid41

pulp_installer is retired and not supported anymore. I am about to put up the notice.

I can tell you that pulp-operator had trouble using CIFS, there were issues.

I can also tell you that we require a POSIX-compliant filesystem, which CIFS is not. So it is assumed not to work.

If you do want to try it, just be aware of permissions. If permissions are set at the mount point, make sure the pulp user and group can read and write. And the apache/nginx webserver account will need to be able to read the pulpcore_static subdir.
