I am not entirely sure if we really had this in the past, but I think there was an automated mechanism to add donor names from stripe payments to QGIS to the file https://github.com/qgis/QGIS-Website/blob/master/source/site/about/donors.inc

If we really had this in the past, then it wasn't working already for many months.

Occasionally, donors who pay through stripe ask why their name doesn't show up on the donors list.

We have a similar mechanism for PayPal payments which seems to be working fine.

Thank you for having a look at this issue.

@andreasneumann

Unfortunately, we do not have this mechanism in place. However, I believe there is a way to do this with Stripe.

@timlinux let me know if you want me to add this in the next qgis sprint.

@dimasciput and @timlinux - ok - maybe I had this wrong in mind.

It would be great if it could be added.

It would be important to only add the donors and not the training certificate sales that also run through stripe.

@timlinux - there is also sysadmin budget available. We can fund this work from QGIS.ORG.

Thanks @andreasneumann - we will allocate some time for this but probably only in June

And to confirm @dimasciput yes we should add it to the sprint. Thanks
