Instruction on this page is no longer preferred as it has been deprecated in Ubuntu 22.04 thus this should be done by placing the key directly inside the trusted.gpg.d directory and [signed-by] prefix should be added to sources.list.d

Instruction on this page is no longer prepared.

What do you mean by 'prepared'?

The instructions provided on the page are no longer valid.

On what distro do the instructions not work?

I understand that apt-key is deprecated. I looked into [signed-by] and it wasn't supported by our minimum-supported distro. I can look into trusted.gpg.d.

Sorry, it was just a typo.

It does work but throws a deprecation warning.

it wasn't supported by our minimum-supported distro.

Can we provide 2 setup instructions, 1 for the older version and another for the new one?

I think simpler instructions are better, even if there's a deprecation warning due to apt-key.
