Unable to perform actions - delete, backspace, select all [delete, backspace] #1334

Steps for Reproduction

Visit quilljs.com
In the demo editor on home screen
Try pressing backspace, delete or select all contents in the editor and try deleting. It does not work.

Expected behavior:
Content should be deleted according to the respective action.

Actual behavior:
Action does not happen.

Platforms:
Browser:

Chrome: 56.0.2924.87-1
OS: elementaryOS - 0.4 [Loki] - { Ubuntu 16.04 }

Version:
Quill version on quilljs.com - 1.2.1
