A choice has to be made between :

dr2xlm translating MIP variable_name to model variable name and translating cell_method to XIOS operations
dr2xml translating a CMOR variable to a field_ref for a dedicated field, which is the result of XIOS hand_designed operations (corresponding to the cell_method for the variable)
