As RD started restricting access from datacenters, ipv6 connection seems working fine with no issues.
a force ipv6 connection would help .

if not applicable . an addition of preferred RD servers where one can choose ipv6 addresses would be nice

What are the preferred rd servers? Because now you can't choose it, you just use what real-debrid sends back when unrestricting a link.

This just for downloads or also API calls?

It seems somehow zurg-testing is doing that. did not delve into his code though.
in his repo you can specify if you want to force ipv6 connection only and afterword when repairing torrents only ipv6 hosts are pulled

here are example of ipv6 rd host
70.download.real-debrid.cloud

and yes this mainly for downloads. as it seems like ipv4 downloads are blocked on datacenters and such

I think probably if you issue the unrestricting link api call with a ipv6 the server will mostlikly send back a ipv6 supported link. Worth trying
