Making it easier to contribute

Just wanted to say thank you for this repo and all the fixes you do in your spare time.
I also like to contribute to the repo when I have something in mind I can help with or answer issues from times to times.

If you want more people to be active contributors, I may suggest more actively adding the tag help wanted or something alike to issues. I think this could perhaps improve the PR vs Issue balance due to it being easier to filter and help.

Definitely agree about using the help wanted label. There are lots of people that would like to help, but it's a bit daunting to know where to start. I used to maintain a public facing trello board with what's in progress, and what's on the roadmap, but I've fallen behind on the project management. The projects are pretty out of date, but I could clear those up and make one for a roadmap.

I think now that the repo has discussions, that should help a bit as well. There are a ton of issues created that don't follow the template (which could be improved a bit) and are usually more of a question/answer format. Getting those out of issues and into discussions should help to keep issues a bit more targeted.
