With the successful conclusion of the 2023 conference,
it's time to start preparing for the 2024 edition.

It's Time to kick off the 2024 conference site,
and move the 2023 info to https://conf.sciwork.dev/2023 for archiving.

Here's the plan:

The objective is to improve user experience by maintaining a consistent and accessible historical record of conferences on the portal url conf.sciwork.dev, while also preparing for the upcoming 2024 conference website.

Action Steps:

• Create swconf-2023 repo:
  • Establish a new GitHub repository swconf-2023.
  • Migrate all 2023 conference content to this repo.
  • Deploy the site on the Netlify conf2023.sciwork.dev domain.
• Configure rewrite and proxy rules in swconf:
  • Redirect traffic from the conference URL (conf.sciwork.dev/2023/*) to the archived content in swconf-2023, ensuring users accessing old links are seamlessly directed to the correct content.
• Update sitemap and SEO:
  • Revise the sitemap to reflect the new content structure. This might require writing some code to parse the dedicated conference website’s sitemap.xml
