Expected Behavior

A project should be able to run without having the display disappear.

Actual Behavior

Project stages commonly turn completely transparent, with the only things updating visually being lists and variables.

Steps to Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to any complex project, such as 'https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/522034803'
  2. Click the green flag and play for a bit.
  3. On iPadOS, it’s actually very common for the display to disappear after some transitions. It happens on many projects. It won’t disappear at first, it’ll just freeze.

System Details

iPadOS 15.3, Safari 15.3

It looks like Safari 15 contains a lot of under-the-hood changes to its WebGL implementation. A lot of other people are reporting issues as well.

This may resolve itself as Apple works out these bugs.
