Multiselect input as checkbox / button / tag

Hello,
I was wondering if there is a good way to achieve a input that behaves like multiple checkboxes but looks like buttons, tags or chips.
Something like this https://primevue.org/selectbutton/#multiple

I saw here https://codepen.io/bunesk/pen/yLzmwap that you can use slots in a creative way but I did not figure out if something like this is possible?

Those are actually toggle buttons, which we don't support [yet]. You could do something similar with custom styles for checkboxes, though.
