Using a supported version?

  • I have searched searched open and closed issues for duplicates.
  • I am using Signal-Desktop as provided by the Signal team, not a 3rd-party package.

Overall summary

Others and I sent messages, and some of those are only displayed on my phone.

Steps to reproduce

1 Turn off a PC (Device B, User A).
2 Goto a Chat with a mobile device (Device A, User A) and send a message.
3 Turn on the PC and check Signal.
Note: The same error occurs when the PC belongs to user B in the chat.

Expected result

The message should be received.

Actual result

The message wasn't displayed.

Hi @NightmareBlocks , sorry this is happening! To find out what's going on, could you share a debug log from your desktop (https://support.signal.org/hc/en-us/articles/360007318591-Debug-Logs-and-Crash-Reports#desktop_debug)?

We'll also need the sent timestamps of messages that were sent from your phone but not received from your desktop; you can find those on Signal Android by long pressing on a message, tapping "Info", and then long pressing on the "Sent" time, which will copy the timestamp (e.g. 1724278913471) to your clipboard. Thank you!
