Here's how it looks in vscode:

It'd be nice if Bikeshed could do similar, I guess if I hold some hotkey while clicking a link.

An iframe would appear just below the link, pointing to the link destination. It'd have a close button, and maybe a pop-up button which would open the current href in a new window.
