Problem with PgUp key

When editing a note, if PgUp key is pressed, left side bar disappears and an equivalent width of white padding occurs on right side. Here is the image before editing a note

Now, edit a note and press PgUp key. In my installation it became like this

Nah, this isn't usual intended behaviour which is strange :P

This sometimes happened in gnome too when maximizing the window..
