Would it be possible to add all the apps to self.apps, that are installed on the shield? You can probably create that list at the start, by sending certain requests to the shield.

It is an issue for me, that only the apps, that you listed manually, can be accessed.

I have made it possible to launch any app, though not exactly in the way you suggested. Please see my latest checkin and sample code in the README and let me know what you think.

Two problems I encountered:

  • there is no reasonable way to get the pretty name of an installed app (there are kludgy ways)
  • it is very slow to get launch activities for all installed apps (over a minute)
