Clearing cookie using URL param is not working in production build

Hi there,

In my sveltekit app I handle my logout using a url param(I implemented the logout in a button on navbar component) as follows

async function handleSignOut(event: any) {
    const status = event;
    await goto(`/?signout=${status}`);
  }

and uses my hooks.server.ts I did

const url = new URL(event.request.url);

const query = url.searchParams.get("signout");
if (Boolean(query) == true) {
  event.cookies.delete("user", { path: "/" });
  event.cookies.delete("userdetails", { path: "/" });
  throw redirect(302, "/");
}

this works well on dev server, but once I build the project(adapter-node), I need to manually reload the page to clear the cookies. I wonder why it's happening.
