Sounds like #1428 and that you want upgrade your ProxySQL client?

@renecannao recommends the usage of the original Github packages "from ProxySQL direct".

I tried before to use the Percona repository based ones to have better update functionality. But they fails and fails also with the systemd system in Debian Stretch e.g. with file limitations of 1024 and other problems... So I switched back to Github packages which offers actual 1.4.9 (5 newer versions / fixes than yours).
