Tabnine new extension for Visual Studio 2022

Is there a change log available? I've had to disable the extension, because it was crashing VS on me. I've been looking for anything to tell me if the updates addressed the issue, so I know when to enable it again, but can't find anything stating what changed.

Hi @notman , thanks for taking the time to comment this, our latest version introduced 2 main changes:

1. we upgraded the latest VS sdk package (this should help with the latest versions of the IDE,
2. Allowed the extension to load both when there is no loaded solution in the IDE for cases when you just open the IDE on a random file and edit it.

can you please share you logs? or or activity log from the IDE?
which version do you have intsalled?
you may also try to start the IDE with "no code" and see if it works better for you, if you updated me on that I'll understand better how to help you.

To be fair, I'm not 100% sure where the cause of the issue is, considering the issue started when I installed Visual Studio's 17.6 update, and updated TabNine just after that. This VS has been a constant issue for me.

I do know that VS kept crashing/restarting on it's own, while the TabNine extension kept trying to sign me into the hub. Once I was finally able to disable the extension, the crash/restart stopped. I do not have any logs from this period, since it has been over a month. I did re-enable the extension, after sending this original message, and it appears to be working atm.

I will say though, as a remote employee, I'm using a VPN, and it does seem like the hub struggles to sign me in if I have the VPN enabled. I am supposed to be in the beta program, if that matters (in ref to sign in).

I forgot to mention, I'm using VS 2022, which is currently at version 17.7.4. If the crashing issue returns, while using the extension, I will try as you advised (without a project), and pass along the logs.
