Refactor everything (requires refinement)

Before the first release of the dotnet version of Bento, the repo has been various stages of dotnet knowledge. So now that we have a working version in production, I feel like with this US that we can go through various parts of the code and see whether there's better ways of doing things, perhaps standardising certain stuff.
