OS: MacOS Monterey 12.6.8
Furnace version: 0.6.3

While I'm making covers of songs, I like to switch between Furnace and another application (Audacity) in order to transfer notes between the two. However, this has often resulted in Furnace's playback feature completely shutting off, with the tracker moving impossibly fast instead of playing back my current song, forcing me to reboot Furnace.

Have you tried using the PortAudio backend? Go to Settings > Audio and change the backend. Then restart Furnace.

SDL backend is known to cause issues on macOS...

I did. It seems to work for now but it makes composing with bluetooth headphones a pain because you can't just put your computer to sleep and still have them connected when you awaken it, forcing you to reopen Furnace as well. Maybe there's a way to resolve the SDL problem?
