Write a test that reproduces #86, and makes sure that nothing that isn't intended to be deleted gets deleted. This will be meant to be run from a fresh virtualbox. It will put unrelated files in the prefix directory before it runs an install and make sure that they're still there after it installs. I may use chef or puppet to set up the virtualbox.
