Private pages

Private pages that are not public and protected by additional authentication.

Some known challenges:

• Source docs have to be protected as well
  • Stored in a new private repo, complicates the build pipeline
  • Make the entire repo private, lose modification for public pages
• No auth option is provided on Docusaurus
  • GitHub Pages is static, so it does not have auth options
  • Vercel Authentication requires paid plan
  • Netlify's Site Protection also requires paid plan
  • Cloudflare Workers could facilitate HTTP Basic Auth, which is probably free
  • Docusaurus Authentication using AWS Cognito
  • Protect Custom Routes in Docusaurus using AWS Cognito
  • Auth0 could also be an option
• How to make public pages and private pages co-exist
  • Build two sites and route traffic based on auth status. This could likely be achieved with Cloudflare Workers. Ref
