The server config for the dice server is stored at the dice server repo, the config for everything else, namely redirecting to forums.triplea-game.org is stored here.

Any suggestion for how long we would want to keep the redirect going? Is there anywhere in nginx we can see counts for how many people accessed the old URL?

If the answer is we would keep this for longer than 2 or 3 more months, documenting how this configuration is deployed would be appropriate.

@DanVanAtta I think we should keep this configuration around at least for the lifetime of the MARTI server.
The MARTI server runs on the same server, uses the same HTTPS certificate and uses the same nginx instance to serve content.
I originally wanted to just add a CNAME record to redirect the DNS without any additional configuration.
Unfortunately CNAME records can't be created for top level domains :(
That's why I chose this other configuration.

Is https://github.com/triplea-game/dice-server self-contained, or does it require the configuration from this repo? If that is the case, I'd suggest we simply move the configuration and integrate the README to dice-server repo. I think we could then make the dice-server documentation more complete even on how to install the server itself as well.

All the configurations are independent of each other.
The dice server has it's own configuration file for nginx
