App version

5.4.5

Device environment

Samsung Galaxy A23 5G, Android 14, One UI 6.1

Bug description

When trying to scan a QR code in the app, the secret key is not automatically added. I need to either enter it manually or scan it with the built-in camera app that redirects me to 2FAS. The screenshot shows the 2FAS test QR code being scanned by the app: it is never imported unless done manually.

Hey @jacopocerasoli,

thank you for opening this issue.

I have tried to scan the Test QR-Code from the 2FAS Website: https://2fas.com/check-token/

On my Android Device it works fine without errors.

I think it's in this situation a problem with your Device or your 2FAS-App.

You can try these following points, to resolve the problem:

  • Make sure, that you use the newest App Version ( actual is it 5.4.6 )

  • Make sure, that the Photo or Screenshot frome the QR-Code is good to look ( good resolution)

  • Restart your device and try it again

When the points I have Sayed to you, had no changes, then you can try to clear the cache and storage respectively, reinstall the app.

IMPORTANT: When you clear the cache and storage or reinstall the app, the app is set up to Factory state. This means, all 2FAS Keys are deleted. Please create before you do this steps an backup of your keys.

Let me know, if it works or not.

Thanks you.

Greetings.
