Nothing pops

I replaced the original unity input field by the one given in this repository and nothing happen, there is no dialog box I click on the inputfield but simply it doesn't work at all. I tried both method dialog box or html , it doesn't change a thing.

This is from 2016 now we are 6 years later so ...
