The current ™ symbol is not raised and could be confused for weird smallcaps or look like a typo. This appears on both the Google Fonts version and the Public Sans site.

Proposed Solution

Raised glyph similar to Libre Franklin's implementation

Not sure if this is still being looked at but I would love to see if this could be added to the font, the current implementation does not fit stylistically, and if anyone has a temporary workaround that would be much appreciated.

You can use the Superscript feature in your editor as a work-around.
Below is the default settings in LibreOffice.
Some applications give you more control over the size and placement than others do.

Would be better if this can be added to the font properly.

That's what I landed on as well, not ideal since we are on the web and some types of inputs do not support custom html but for those that do, surrounding the symbol in a superscript tag works
