OpenCL runtime QoR

OpenCL runtime QoR for Xilinx SDAccel framework for running nightly tests to identify bottlenecks in the SDAccel tool design. Tests were run on Xilinx ADM PCIe ku3 and 7v3 boards.
OpenCL APIs tested:
- Buffer object (Buffer creation, deletion, migration, map)
- Compute test cases (bitstream download, CU start time)
- Memory usage (getting platform and device ID, context and command queue creation)
- Multi-threading support (creating multiple threads in host code each using a spearate command queue)
Created comparison statistics of the performance of various OpenCL APIs with SDAccel v2015.4 and SDAccel v 2016.1

Bench-marking of OpenCL API on AMD Radeon GPU

Created a test suite for benchmarking OpenCL APIs on AMD Radeon 8600M series and compared the performance of AMD GPU with FPGA

Flash Utility for IBM CAPI boards

Enhancement of a software tool for programming Xilinx FPGA on IBM CAPI based Alpha Data boards

At University of Southern California

Custom IP Router

Custom soft IP router using libpcap library for packet forwarding, ARP caching, OSPF support

Kernel Hacking

Kernel hacking of TCP module of network stack of Linux kernel to remove the exponential back-off and modify slow start phase. Achieved 12 Mbps over 200ms delay and 25% packet loss. Used TCP Hybla for improving throughput.

Custom File Transfer Protocol

Implemented a UDP based reliable transfer protocol in C, achieving 50Mbps over a high-delay link of 200ms and loss rate of 20%. Used sequencing and NACK to ensure reliability

Software Defined Network Implementation

SDN using OpenFlow protocol to create a topology (using Mininet) involving an L3 learning switch. POX controller implemented using Python.

Weenix Kernel Development

Developed, using C, the functionality of an existing incomplete Operating System ‚’Weenix’, including Thread Management, Multiprogramming and Completed Virtual File System and Virtual Memory

Socket Programming

Developed, using C/C++ on a UNIX platform, a program for client server communications via TCP and UDP Sockets for advertising network topology and evaluating the Minimum Spanning Tree using Dijkstra’s algorithm.

Network Simulations

Simulated, using NS-3, the performance (Throughput/Delay) of IEEE802.11 Wireless LAN using CSMA/CA with binary exponential backoff algorithm and the variation of congestion window of TCP with delay and packet loss using C.

Amazon AWS projects

Multiplied 32X32 and 1024X1024 matrix using the Hadoop MapReduce framework available on Amazon's AWS Elastic MapReduce cloud service which uses EC2 for computation and S3 for storage. The mapper and reducer code was written in Python

At Tata Power Strategic Engineering Division

Network Security Portfolio

Built, configured and modified Linux 2.6.31 for PowerPC for UTM application to enable device drivers like TUN.
Designed the network for secure VoIP call with TLS and IPSec tunnel mode and reduced latency.
Cross-compiled and installed open-source OpenVPN over PowerPC based gateway modules.
IKEv2 was implemented using AES 256 bit cryptographic algorithm using the hardware crypto-engine.

Integrated Voice Communication System

Spearheaded the hardware and software in-loop testing using system stress software, penetration testing and board bring-up and contributed to mobility testing using EPC framework.
