Apparently veraPDF uses a PDF scanner for reading embedded Type 1 fonts. However,
PostScript and PDF do not have the same syntax for name objects. I think this document
complies with PDF/A-2, but veraPDF 1.7.99 says it's non-compliant:

Type1-pass-1.pdf

It contains a glyph name containing a '#' character which is not special in PostScript (and therefore, Type 1 font) names.

See also #861 and #850.

veraPDF 1.11.11 claims that the font program is not embedded for Type1-pass-1.pdf above.
