So this problem has existed for a while and I suppose there is no permanent fix for everything (without performance loss)? |

My intel arc A770 seems to refuse to cooperate at kernel version 6.8.8 and 6.8.9. I tried to install different versions of both the Intel oneapi and provided packages in the wiki with no positive results. Then I tried to reproduce the error on a fresh Ubuntu install and everything worked as intended, that made me try to downgrade my kernel from 6.8.9 to 6.8.1 and that fixed everything. I did some testing and found that all kernel versions above 6.8.4 causes the gpu to become "unresponsive" in SD.Next (and other stable diffusion implementations), while acting normal in other workloads.
Intel_gpu_top shows some activity on the gpu while SD.Next is starting up, but that activity usually ceases as soon as you enter the GUI. When selecting a model it usually just waits to infinity with no activity on the gpu, which results in the "ERROR: no model loaded" upon pressing the generation button. SD.Next also doesn't detect the word count when this issue occurs.
Any ideas why this doesn't seem to be mentioned in any source?
