the mathml-core issue w3c/mathml-core#258 suggests adding autofocus to the list of global attributes inherited from html, I hoped to raise this in the 2024-09-12 meeting but we ran out of time, I think we should do that and add to full as well so full remains a superset of core.

In fact it would not require any change to the mathml spec sources as an updated schema would be pulled in automatically and like nonce and tabindex it wouldn't require any mention in the spec text as it is covered by 3.1.9.1

which states that all mathml-core global attributes are allowed in full.

But I wanted to record the issue here in case anyone wants to comment.
