What Operating System(s) are you seeing this problem on?
macOS
Which Wayland compositor or X11 Window manager(s) are you using?
No response
WezTerm version
WezTerm-macos-20241104-083404-51c794ac
Did you try the latest nightly build to see if the issue is better (or worse!) than your current version?
Yes, and I updated the version box above to show the version of the nightly that I tried
Describe the bug
Beeps and text ;3D or ;3C appears
To Reproduce
At the terminal, press option+left cursor, or option+right cursor (or on a Windows style keyboard, alt+left and alt+right).
Configuration
no config
Expected Behavior
Cursor jumps one word left, or right (as on Apple Terminal and others).
Logs
No response
Anything else?
I have a UK keyboard layout. I have tested this on two different machines, Intel macOS 12, and ARM macOS 15, and with both the Apple provided bash and zsh shells.
This could just be poor default settings on macOS?
