Java Runtime Exception

Device OS version (1.5/1.6/2.0,...) : 4.0.4

Computer OS and version (Mac,Win,Linux,...) : win 7 64bit
Java version (java -version from command line) :7
ADB version (adb version from command line) : not sure
AndroidScreencast version : newest as of Feb 21 '13

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Run platform-tools>adb usb in Win Console
2.Run androidscreencast.jnlp

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expected result is screencast running properly, actual result is:

Basically I run ASC and the window to display my device pops up, but shows 
nothing but grey.  I then get the error message from above.
