I created a test site with one valid link in the index.html file pointing to page1.html, and page1.html has one valid link pointing to page2.html but page2.html has an invalid link pointing to the non-existant page3.html page. Ran the GUI on the directory without a file name, and it reports all three files are valid. Ran the GUI while specifying index.html and got the same result. Ran the command line option on index.html and the bad link in page2.html was detected. No settings have been changed from default other than turning on verbose output in the GUI. Running Windows 10 and LinkChecker 9.3 Released on 16.7.2014.
