Firstly, I would like to express my appreciation for the incredible work you've done with mpegts.js. I'm currently using it to play IPTV live streams with .ts extensions on an LG webOS app, and it performs flawlessly for this purpose. The ability to handle live streaming directly within the webOS environment without relying on HLS .m3u8 formats has been particularly beneficial.
However, I've encountered a challenge when attempting to use mpegts.js for video-on-demand (VOD) content playback. My VOD selection primarily consists of .mkv files, and I'm utilizing Media Source Extensions (MSE) links to serve these videos. Unfortunately, it seems that mpegts.js cannot play these .mkv MSE links within the LG webOS app environment.
I'm reaching out to inquire if there are any known tweaks or configurations that might enable mpegts.js to support .mkv MSE link playback in this context. The ability to expand its compatibility to include .mkv files, particularly for VOD content, would significantly enhance the functionality of my application.
Additionally, many of the videos in my VOD library contain multiple audio tracks and subtitles. I'm interested in knowing whether mpegts.js supports the selection and switching of audio tracks or subtitles during playback, specifically within the webOS environment. If such functionality is not currently supported, could you advise on the feasibility of implementing these features in future updates?
I understand that these requests might extend beyond the typical use case of mpegts.js in a desktop browser environment. However, given the growing popularity of smart TV applications and the specific needs of the webOS platform, I believe that enhancing support for these features could benefit many developers working in similar environments.
Thank you for considering my inquiries. I look forward to any guidance or suggestions you may have.
Best regards,
