Hi there

I'm getting this error message with MacVim 7.4.

It appears that YCM is building using the brew version of Python, where my MacVim is built with the system python. Any tips?

Here's some output:

This is some of the build output from YCM

Your C++ compiler supports C++11, compiling in that mode.
-- Found PythonLibs: /usr/local/Cellar/python/2.7.6/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/Python (found suitable versi
on "2.7.6", minimum required is "2.6")
NOT using libclang, no semantic completion for C/C++/ObjC will be available
-- Found PythonInterp: /usr/local/bin/python (found version "2.7.6")

And here's my vim --version:

I solved it for myself by removing the homebrew version of Python. Feel free to close this issue if you please, or leave it open if you feel like handling this edge case.

This solution also worked for me. I don't like it though.

Closing as duplicate of several issues I'm too lazy to look up.

I fixed this by relinking YCM with the system Python as described in #241

i.e. (your versions will vary):

cd /usr/local/Cellar/macvim/7.3-66/MacVim.app/Contents/MacOS/
install_name_tool -change /System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/Python /usr/local/Cellar/python/2.7.4/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/Python MacVim
install_name_tool -change /System/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/Python /usr/local/Cellar/python/2.7.4/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.7/Python Vim
