just a general feedback, not the proper report
Yesterday we played the game here, in Kathmandu, with some guys who stay at the same guest house. All players from different countries, and non of them were native Emglish speakers. So, the test showed that we really need to make language and mechanics much easier! The only person, who could follow the logic of the mechanic was a guy from Sweden, who likes playing games and has much experience in it. But imagine, what if the game is used in a classroom, or what if the players are not the game geeks? Then it gets very confusing. The text on the cards was not clear, and also it was difficult for the players to understand which cards are of which type - as wriiten in the rules. We did not finish the game, I mean nobody came to 8 or 10 VPs. So the feedback from the players was as following: 1. There is a need to ease the language. 2. The color code of the cards should refer to the types of the cards. 3. Not enough cards of Bulding type. 4. it would be better, if the events (earth) cards are all put in the separate deck, and one card is drawn from it and played every round, even if there is not reath as a separete player.

  • Were the theme, artwork, and icons engaging?
  • Did this game have the depth of strategy that you were expecting?
  • What were the moments that people felt like they were having the most fun? The least fun?
  • Assuming trivial issues are fixed, would you recommend this to someone else?
