I would like to bring here the following issue of vis almende/vis#1699 which is about of drawing lines to connect items.

Thanks to @frboyer and @JimmyCheng there is a working example that I have moved to Timeline-plus.

I find it very interesting... How do you see an implementation like this?? would be difficult??
